Southeast Polk Community School District is pleased to announce we are taking applications for Little Rams Preschool! On-line application begins Monday, January 23, 2012 for the 2012-13 school year.

Preschool is free for children who will be four by Sept. 15, 2012.

A limited number of slots are available for children who will be three by Sept. 15, 2012. The tuition cost is $160/month, and we will send a letter as to whether your child has been accepted. Because there are only a few slots available for three-year-old’s, you may want to place your child’s name on another preschool list as well as applying for Little Rams Preschool.

We are unable to serve children in preschool who will be five on or before September 15, 2012 (unless the child has an IEP that requires preschool academic or behavior services).

Please read the following instructions before completing the application process for your child.

  1. Only a parent or legal guardian may sign up a child for preschool.
  2. Children will be placed in classrooms in the order of application.
  3. Families must provide required documents (see below) in order for the child to be fully enrolled.
  4. To apply, use the following link: Application Form 2012-13

  3. Immunization card* (must be up-to-date)

Mail the above items to your child’s preschool building (address will be included in the confirmation letter).

*Families who do not have insurance or whose insurance does not cover well-child care may contact Central Place (515-266-6795) for an appointment at the free Southeast Polk Children’s Clinic, available Tuesdays, 1-5 p.m., at Central Place, 6540 NE 12th Avenue, Pleasant Hill. Note: Summer appointments fill up quickly.

LATE APPLICATIONS

Applications received after July 1, 2012 will be enrolled based on the date we received your application, until all classrooms have been filled.

NON-DISTRICT STUDENTS

For students who do not live in the district, a limited number of slots may be available once resident students have been placed. Out-of-district students will be considered after August 1, 2012. Please note: Preschool students who reside outside of SEP boundaries are not automatically enrolled into the SEP K-12 school system. If you are interested in having your child be considered for open enrollment into kindergarten at SEP, please complete the required paperwork (click here).
