Food & Nutrition Survey Results & FAQ

The Southeast Polk Community School District’s Food & Nutrition Services Department’s commitment is to operate an exemplary school meals program so all Southeast Polk students can develop lifelong healthy eating habits enabling them to Learn. Lead. Live. and have success for college, career and civic life. We support the mission of the Southeast Polk District by providing nutritious, appealing and high-quality meals at a reasonable price in a pleasant atmosphere while meeting all Federal, State, and local regulations.

We received a great response on the 2017 Nutrition Survey.  Thank you to all 1,380 individuals who responded and gave feedback for us to continually improve upon our program.  We strive to meet the needs of our students all while being in compliance with the standards and regulations set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to facilitate a National School Lunch and Breakfast program.  Based on the responses and comments, there were themes that we wanted to address and hopefully answer questions about school breakfast and lunch programs with this FAQ.  If you have additional questions or comments, please feel free to reach out by emailing school.nutrition@southeastpolk.org
