The Southeast Polk Community Schools District Office facility will be moving to the site of the former Altoona City Hall at 407 8th Street SE, in Altoona on March 6. This is a temporary move as the school district finalizes long-term plans for its district-level offices.
The current District Office location is not meeting the needs of the District and the conditions are not conducive to effective operations. The long-term plan is to move the office to a site that houses all district-level offices under one roof. Currently, these services are spread across 4 buildings throughout the District. The move to the temporary Altoona location allows the District a place to operate efficiently while the long-term plans are finalized. The District is grateful to the City of Altoona for their assistance in this process.
Effective March 6, 2020, the District office address will be 407 8th Street SE, Altoona, IA 50009 and offices will be open from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The main phone number remains the same (515) 967-4294 as well as the direct lines and extensions for district office staff.
