Traffic Signal Work/Update Alert:
The City of Pleasant Hill shared this information with the district today:
The traffic signal at E University Ave/NE 80th Street will be updated on Monday, August 23rd to allow for “protected” left turn movements for east/west traffic on E University Ave. During the time it is being updated, the traffic light will be a flashing light. Please use caution in this area.
We understand this is the first day of school and are timing the work to occur during the school day and NOT during peak hours (before and after school) for this intersection. The timing for this improvement has been based on availability of a signal supplier.
As a reminder from the Iowa DOT Driver’s Manual, what each arrow indication means in the signal is shown in the graphic.
