Southeast Polk Parents & Guardians,

We have seen an uptick of confirmed cases of Influenza reported in our schools. Please observe your student for the following symptoms:

  • Fever (Temp over 100.5) or feeling feverish/chills
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue (very tired)
  • Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.

If your student is exhibiting the above symptoms please take them to the physician for a diagnosis and plan of care for the student.
