The Lowe’s Heroes volunteer program began more than 10 years ago. The program encourages their employees to team together, adopt a volunteer project with a local nonprofit organization or K-12 public school, and make a difference. Last weekend employees from the Altoona Lowe’s joined forces to provide manpower and landscaping materials for Clay Elementary. Lowe’s employees planted 3 trees on the playground, provided mulch areas for the bike racks, added a walking path from the main entrance to the bike racks, and installed new landscaping and a bench at the east entrance to the building.  Thank you Lowe’s for your community partnership!
