On August 31st, the USDA extended a nationwide waiver allowing school districts to provide meals to students under the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) free of charge. Southeast Polk Community School District has elected to use this waiver and starting on Monday, September 14th breakfast and lunch for all students will be free of charge. This is for all meals provided onsite, meals sent home with Hybrid 2 students and meals for those students who are remote learners.
