National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February. This year’s theme is Helping Students Dream Big.

Southeast Polk Community School District is honored to have amazing counselors serving our students and schools. All students, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, have the ability to grow socially, emotionally and academically. The Southeast Polk Counseling Program assists students as they learn and practice important skills in order to meet life’s challenges.  The talented counseling team at Southeast Polk have worked together to identify standards and align the curriculum across the district, that way if/when a student move schools they have the same opportunities and expectations.

At Southeast Polk, we are proud of our team of dedicated individuals who overcome challenges and continue to meet the needs of our students and create a positive school climate on a daily basis.  We want to take a moment to say thank you for all that you do!
