As a followup to the communication regarding the Southeast Polk Plan for Continuous Learning, we want to share how this will be implemented at Southeast Polk High School.  Our goal is to establish a consistent routine for our students which allows for needed flexibility.  We have created a schedule which will begin on Monday, April 13, and continue until we return to school.  This schedule and additional information can be found on this Google Site.  All teachers within each department will have a link to their online courses as well as their specific office hours.  This video is a screencast presentation demonstrating how to navigate the site.

While participation in the Voluntary Educational Enrichment Opportunities (VEEO) is not required, we strongly encourage all students to engage with their teachers and fellow classmates.  Learning in an online environment is becoming an ever more important skill all students need to be successful now, in college, and in future careers.  Capitalize on this unfortunate interruption to our normal way of learning by becoming more comfortable with virtual communication, collaboration, and problem solving.

While the above is surely important, taking care of yourself and family should be your top priority.  Our high school teachers have attempted to call each student and family over the past few days to listen and gather information regarding your needs.  The Southeast Polk CSD is committed to supporting our students and families to the best of our abilities, and we appreciate all of the efforts being made by other members of our communities doing the same!
