Referendum Signing Day – Saturday, August 9, 2025
We’re putting #1SEP students first—WITHOUT raising taxes.
If you haven’t heard yet, our School Board has approved a draft of a proposed $51 million referendum that will fund key projects to improve safety, accessibility, and learning spaces across the district for our students.
Key Projects:
Build, furnish and equip a new elementary building to handle enrollment growth
Relocate the Jr. High Main Office to improve safety and expand commons areas Upgrade all PK-5 school playgrounds, focusing on safety and accessibility improvements for all studentsBut we need 1400 signatures to put the referendum on the November 4, 2025 ballot. This Saturday’s Signing Day makes it easy for you to sign the petition.

- Four locations:
- Altoona Campus – 1500 8th St. SW, Altoona – drive-through parking lot
- Pleasant Hill Fareway – 5500 University Ave, Pleasant Hill – in parking lot near the SEP Football Gatorade Drive
- Southeast Polk Middle School – 501 Falcon Drive, Altoona – drive-through parking lot
- Altoona Hy-Vee – 108 8th St. SW, Altoona – in parking lot near the SEP Football Gatorade Drive
