My name is Randy Mohning, and I have been the principal at Four Mile since the 2009-2010 school year. As the building principal, my goal is to provide a safe, secure, and positive learning environment for all students. I want to help all students have the opportunity to be successful as they transition from one educational level to the next.
It takes a strong and productive partnership between the school, families, and community to help our students be successful learners. My role is to help build and nurture that partnership as we focus on your children and their education. Education has played a major role in my life and has been very instrumental in the achievement of my personal goals. Therefore, as we prepare our students for a future of success I will continue to focus on providing them the best possible education.
Four Mile Elementary serves approximately 425 students with approximately fifty staff members. Our building fluctuates from year to year between three and four sections at each grade level. All students receive art, music, physical education, media/library, and guidance instruction with the exception of kindergarten art. We offer our students support through Talent and Gifted, English Language Learner, Special Education, and Reading Programs. Fifth-grade students may also participate in the Southeast Polk band program.
Four Mile Elementary is committed to serving students with effective, rigorous, engaging, and collaborative learning opportunities. We want to provide our students every opportunity to be successful in life. I would encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or would like to find out more about Four Mile Elementary.
