Last week the Southeast Polk FFA chapter took a trip to a district level FFA event. They had over 60 members attend this event among 1100+ participants from across Iowa, as well a few of our members demonstrating in the horse judging competitions. They left the event with multiple top 5 team placings and a few top 5 individual placings.
- The advanced horse judging team placed 2nd overall out of 11 teams.
- The novice horse team placed 2nd overall out of fifty-five teams.
- Jenna Pastour placed 4th and Saylor Abbas placed 5th in the advanced horse judging
- Olivia Fisher placed 3rd overall in the individual placings.
- Chenoa Smith placed 4th and Lydia Johnson placed 5th in Vet Science.
- Michael DeDecker placed first overall in the Farm Business contest.
Southeast Polk was awarded the Supreme Chapter award at the Osceola Contest — Scoring the most points across all contests of all chapters present. Congratulations all for a team effort.
