They had over 60 members attend this event among 1100+ participants from across Iowa, as well a few of our members demonstrating in the horse judging competitions. They left the event with multiple top 5 team placings and a few top 5 individual placings.

  • The advanced horse judging team placed 2nd overall out of 11 teams.
  • The novice horse team placed 2nd overall out of fifty-five teams.
  • Jenna Pastour placed 4th and Saylor Abbas placed 5th in the advanced horse judging
  • Olivia Fisher placed 3rd overall in the individual placings.
  • Chenoa Smith placed 4th and Lydia Johnson placed 5th in Vet Science.
  • Michael DeDecker placed first overall in the Farm Business contest.

Southeast Polk was awarded the Supreme Chapter award at the Osceola Contest — Scoring the most points across all contests of all chapters present. Congratulations all for a team effort.

Matthew Eddy, FFA Advisor shared, “Thank you for making this event a successful one and coming out and making it a super fun experience. Once again we would like to congratulate all of our members who placed and competed.”
