National Night Out is an annual community-building event, and Its purpose is to build police/fire community partnerships. Because of COVID-19 concerns, rather than asking businesses to come out, set up and give away in support of first responders, we will be stepping up and receiving much needed donations supporting Swerve/Kids Cafe and Caring Hands Food Pantry In this challenging time. This Third-Grade Teacher’s Guide is organized according to the four Recommendations and How-to Steps from the WWC Educator’s Practice Guide Foundational Skills to Support Reading for Understanding in Kindergarten Through 3rd Grade. The included activities follow the typical developmental progression through which students learn to read. Although you may use this Teacher’s Guide sequentially, the activities are designed to be used flexibly. You can select activities based on your student’s instructional needs.
