Environmental Learning Center
The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) offers students unique opportunities for environmental-based field research and stewardship. In partnership with Metro Waste Authority and Drake University, students engage in hands-on projects that build critical thinking and promote sustainability.
The ELC, located at 11730 SE 6th Ave, Runnells, IA, features classrooms and expansive outdoor learning spaces.
Project Lead the Way
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a cornerstone of Southeast Polk’s STEM initiatives, providing students with hands-on experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, and innovation. Recognized nationally for excellence, PLTW prepares students for higher education and STEM careers.
