Bond 2025 Projects 

Voters approved a $51 million bond in November 2025 to invest in safe, modern learning environments, with no increase to the district’s tax levy rate. For more details, read the full bond overview.

  • Project Scope: Build, furnish, and equip a new elementary school to manage district-wide enrollment growth.

  • Project Partners: DLR Group (Architect) | Miron Construction (Construction Manager)

  • Target Completion: Fall 2029

  • Progress Timeline:

    • June 2026: Miron Construction officially approved by the School Board as construction manager. DLR Group completed stakeholder workshops to define modern classroom standards.

    • April 2026: DLR Group selected as project architect; stakeholder committees formed to begin design sessions.

    • November 2025: Voters approved the $51 million bond referendum.

  • Project Scope: Relocate the main office to the building entrance and expand the student commons area.

  • Project Partners: OPN Architects (Architect) | Construction Manager TBD

  • Target Completion: TBD (Updated as construction schedules finalize)
  • Progress Timeline
    • July 2026 (Target): Formal construction manager recommendation goes to the School Board for review and approval.

    • June 2026: The project design team, in collaboration with district and building staff, has developed preliminary designs and layouts
    • April 2026: OPN Architects selected as project architect; formal design team kickoff meeting held

  • Project Scope: Comprehensive safety and accessibility updates across all PK-5 schools.

  • Project Partners: Neumann Monson Architects (Design Partner)

  • Target Completion: Fall 2027 (Ready for the first day of school)

  • Progress Timeline/Milestones

    • June 2026: Site preparedness is underway, with specific needs being identified for each elementary location. Work is focused on a comprehensive district play space plan prioritizing safety, functionality, and accessibility

    • April 2026: Neumann Monson Architects officially selected as the playground design partner.

Facility Improvements 

Projects identified through routine facilities inspections and ongoing review of building conditions; lists represent major capital/facility improvements.

  • Project Scope: Construct updated central support facilities for district logistics and maintenance teams

  • Current Status: Active site preparation

  • Progress Milestones:

    • June 2026: Earthwork and site grading underway

    • June 2026: Installation of underground utility infrastructure commenced

  • Project Scope: District-wide safety, infrastructure, and aesthetic refreshes.

  • Target Completion: August 2026 (Prior to the start of the 2026-2027 school year)

  • Progress Milestones:
    • Installation of protective window film at various building entry locations
    • Reconfiguration of instructional space to support the EmPowerU Life Skills program 
    • Targeted improvements to walkways, entry areas, railings, and service access points at several elementary buildings and the Junior High
    • Window coverings at the Middle School 
    • Renewal of interior paint and flooring in selected areas of district facilities
    • Exterior masonry and sealant repairs at several elementary buildings 
    • Drainage and landscaping improvements at Willowbrook Elementary
