Southeast Polk is proud to receive a $5,000 donation from Intel Corporation on behalf Staples Altoona as part of a nationwide training competition hosted by the Intel® Retail Edge Program.

The Intel Retail® Edge Program is a thriving community of retail sales professionals. The program was designed to provide the latest information and education about Intel products and technologies to sales representatives through interactive courses, articles, videos, sales tools, real-time Web events, and more.

Altoona Staples sales representatives were asked to expand their knowledge about Intel technology and the devices they sell. As part of the reward for completing the most training sessions, the Altoona Staples team was able to select a local school to receive a technology donation. In total this year, the Intel® Retail Edge Program is awarding 54 schools in the United States and Canada with donations equaling $720,000.

“We are very grateful to receive this donation and plan to use the money to enhance student technology across the district, shared, Kevin Baccam, Southeast Polk Executive Director of Business Services.”

Southeast Polk was selected to receive the donation from Intel to purchase the latest technology for use in the classroom, to assist students in their studies and improve the overall learning environment.

“Congratulations to all of the school winners,” said Jeff Clark, manager of the Intel® Retail Edge Program. “With technology, amazing things can happen. We look forward to seeing what the awarded teachers and students will achieve with the latest technology at their fingertips.”
