In Ms. Aldrich’s 4th grade class, students made a model of the brain out of clay. They also had to identify each region of the brain and include it’s function. The students noticed that the surface of the brain does not look smooth and the cerebrum (with its four lobes) is covered by folds and grooves.
Taylor said she enjoyed working with a partner and Brady said he enjoyed molding the clay! Ms. Aldrich just loves getting students excited about science! All students said that they are enjoying Project Lead the Way and the activities that are a part of this new science program.
