High School instructors, Andrea McGee and Jenny Crawford, took students from their High School Computer Science classes to the new HyVee Tech Building in Grimes on Dec 7th. While there, students toured the new facility to get a feel of what it is like to work in the real world of technology.
The students heard from several members of specific technology teams within the company. This event was very beneficial for both the students and teachers to hear what changes and growth are happening in the technology industry, to see what a “day in the life” of someone in IT might look like, and hear about what skills are necessary to be successful in these job fields.
