Fifth-Grader Brenda Lachino Trujillo’s design of “U-Nique-Corn” Wins!

Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) members use student-designed stickers to motivate their students and celebrate a job well-done.  The Design-A-Decal program recognizes young artists from across the state.  Students from across Iowa compete in three categories: elementary (K-5), junior high/middle school (6-8), and high school (9-12).  ISEA selects 24 winning designs that are printed in full color on one-inch squares.

A group of Mrs. Ruddy’s talented fourth-grade students (who had used and enjoyed these stickers throughout the year) read the directions of the contest carefully, made certain that their work followed the criteria set forth by ISEA, and submitted their clever play-on-word designs.  We are proud to announce that Brenda Lachino Trujillo’s design “U-Nique-Corn” was chosen as a 2017 winner.
