The National Federation of State High School Associations named Chad Willeford as the 2018-2019 Central Selection Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year! 

Chad was nominated by the Iowa High School Athletics Association as the most deserving recipient for this honor among coaches of the sport in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin. Honorees were selected based upon their performance in the 2018-2019 school year, lifetime community involvement, school involvement and philosophy of coaching. 

Jayson Campbell, Southeast Polk Activities Director, shared “Coach Willeford has done an outstanding job of building our track and cross country programs at Southeast Polk.  His coaching has raised the profile of these programs to be considered among the very best in the state. We are very proud he represents our student athletes.”
