This past weekend 23 members of SEP DECA competed at the state DECA competition by taking a 100 point test and conducting a business scenario role play with a judge or taking a 100 point test and presenting a project they completed in relation to business and marketing.  14 of the students placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and qualified for the national competition in May and 4 more received an honorable mention for their work.  Please join me in congratulating the following students:

Carly Phipps and Rylie Martin – Integrated Marketing Campaign – Event – 2nd place overall
Jack Nuss, Caitlyn Maynes, and Gracie Muck – Integrated Marketing Campaign – Service – 2nd place overall as well as placing 3rd, 2nd, and 1st in the test portion of the event
Carson Forbes and Alexis Rutledge – Integrated Marketing Campaign – Product – 2nd place overall as well as Carson placing 2nd in the test portion of the event
Brooklyn Pesek and Emma Hodges – Hospitality Team Decision Making Event – 2nd place overall with a 3rd place in the role play
Callie Bruchert and Kyleigh Glenn – Community Giving Project – 1st place overall
Kyah Tounley and Brylye Manes – Buying and Merchandising Team Decision Making – 3rd place overall
Louis Jones  – Food Marketing Event – Honorable Mention
