The Altoona Area Chamber of Commerce has organized an event for our SEP Families. We are so appreciative!

Here’s their Facebook post with all the details:

So, we’re doing a thing….the THREADS Pop-up event is a Back to School experience for families in need in the Southeast Polk Community School District that will provide clothing for students Kindergarten – 12th grade. We know you’ve all been cleaning out your closets but have struggled to find a local agency willing to take them. We want to help you out so we can help others!
If you have CLEAN (no stains, spills or goop), GENTLY WORN (no rips, tears or fading) clothing for youth ages 6 – 18, we would love to take them off your hands! Please drop off clothing at the Altoona Area Chamber of Commerce located at 119 2nd Street SE, Ste. A in Olde Town by August 2nd. You can call (515)967-3366 to your drop off time Monday-Friday. No weekend drop offs.
If you don’t have clothing but want to be a community partner in this event, you can purchase new undergarments and socks to drop off or give a financial donation so that we may purchase those items.
In partnership with the Outlets of Des Moines, the THREADS Pop-up event will be Monday & Tuesday, August 9th & 10th from 10am-5pm in Suite 810 (near Vera Bradley and Tommy Hilfiger). Clothing will be free of charge. For easy access to the Outlets of Des Moines, you can check out Route 17 through DART.
