At Spring Creek, we have a goal to strengthen positive relationships amongst our students and focus on resolving conflict in a peaceful manner. New this year, we will hold regular “Circle Up” meetings that are sometimes scheduled by teachers but can be requested by students at any time. During Circle Up meetings, students have the floor to talk about things that are on their mind and focus on common themes happening in our school or community. The intended outcome for Circle Up meetings is to focus on how we can work together to solve problems and to end the meeting with group consensus.

We feel strongly that student voice is a key factor to establishing healthy relationships in our school and to work together to overcome obstacles when they happen. Today was our first Circle Up meeting and students did an awesome job respecting the opinion of others and sharing their feedback in a productive manner. Several common themes emerged today throughout the building and students came to a consensus on how we can do better to address the common issues Great job students on working together to make our school a great place to learn!
