Community Rallies to Prepare 400+ Food Bags for Students Before Spring Break
Thanks to the efforts of over 40 volunteers, more than 400 bags filled with food were prepared for Southeast Polk and Bondurant students before Spring Break!
Lutheran Church of the Cross organized the event, raising $14,431.05 to cover the costs of the bags. Altoona Fareway sold the items at cost to LCC. The volunteers worked for over 5 hours in an assembly style to fill the bags and deliver them to our local schools.
Our high school counselors were also given gift cards to hand out to students in need.
Thanks to our amazing community for ensuring our students were taken care of during Spring Break!
