I have openings for summer care for school age kids. My hours are 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. I am state registered and have been providing daycare for over 25 years. We go on lots of fun outings including the movie theatre, out to eat, parks, libraries and lots more. 

Creative Drama is informal theatre. Through theatre games, improvisation, story telling, and story dramatization, the class—the kids themselves—supply all the words, all the actions, all the plots, all the characters, and the audience. 2 hour class, 3 days.

One of the most fundamental of drawings is learning how to draw the human figure. Learn the art of sketching and the importance of a human figure in this teen class! You will learn how to sketch clothes, draw facial features, and shading. 2 hour class will be in the Hoyt Sherman Place Art Gallery.

Justin will help you create a “Cool Car” with wheels, gears, and gadgets.

For middle school girls, this is women’s basketball CENTRAL!!! Your daughter will get the full experience of life as a women’s basketball player, getting to spend the night in the campus townhouses! June 15 9-9:45am check in 10am session 1 June 16 12:00pm pickup

Learn-to-Skate (LTS) classes offer your skater the opportunity to work on developing skills for ice sports from figure skating to ice hockey as well as recreational skating.

Workshop activities include: • Mini lessons on running your own business • Career inventory identifying skills, interests, and potential industries of opportunity • Professional headshots • Local female entrepreneur guest speakers • Assembling a curated “BOCS” provided by Amy Nebons

Join us for this fun STEM summer camp!

Come join us for a 4 day golf camp! The camp runs Monday-Thursday 8:00-9:30 AM each day! Lots of fun will be had as we teach your kids a little bit about the game of golf. The kids will get to compete for a bunch of fun prizes as the week goes on. We hope to see you there!

Des Moines Parks and Recreation are hosting swimming lessons at our five facilities Ashworth, Birdland, Nahas, Northwest, & Teachout Aquatic Facilities. Cost for a week of group lessons is $30. For financial support call 515-518-4770 (cost is $5 per participant). Registration: April 1, 2023.

Singers who have finished grade K through 8 will enjoy five days of singing and fun that ends with a musical performance! Participants will experience choir rehearsals, musicianship, sectional rehearsals, and movement activities.

Drake University Community School of Music invites students ages 14 and older to participate in a Summer Voice Intensive for Young Singers, June 19-23, 2023. This week-long daytime camp provides students with voice lessons, coachings, classes, full choir experiences and performance opportunities.
