High School Announcements – December 15th , 2025


From the Principals Office:

Winter Break: A friendly reminder that Winter Break runs from December 22nd – January 1st. There is no school for students on January 2nd due to a teacher workday. School will resume for students on Monday, January 5th.
Lost & Found: Students, please take a moment to check the lost and found table located under the bridge staircase by the gymnasium for any items you may have misplaced. Items not claimed by January 16th will be removed from the building and donated.

Reassessments: The end of the semester is January 16th, which means reassessment time is approaching. Reassessments for odd-period classes will be held on Thursday, January 15th, and reassessments for even-period classes will be held on Friday, January 16th.

End of Semester: We have 15 school days left in the semester. Please note that all second-semester schedule changes must be completed by 2:45 PM on Friday, January 16. No schedule changes will be allowed once the second semester begins on Tuesday, January 20.

Seniors: If you haven’t yet, please take a moment to complete this form to upload your Senior Yearbook Baby Ad. Instructions are provided once you open the link. The deadline to submit is December 19th.

Food Pantry: Our local food pantry is low on plastic grocery bags. If you have extras to give away, please send them with your student. They can drop them off in the High School front office.

  • Jan 12 – DMACC On-Campus, online, and Career Academy courses begin
  • Jan 16 – Last day of First Semester
  • Jan 26 – Last day to drop DMACC on-campus & online with no Withdrawal
  • Feb 3 – Last day to drop a Southeast Polk course with no Withdrawal
  • Graduates: Any students who are graduating this year but have not yet purchased their cap, gown, and tassel should do so as soon as possible. The basic package is available here.

The Spring 2026 DMACC course schedule are available! This schedule includes both on-campus classes offered at various DMACC locations and online courses for the spring semester. If you are interested in taking an on-campus DMACC course, please be sure to select the Spring 2026 semester and the correct campus location when searching for classes. Contact their school counselor to obtain the appropriate course registration form. The deadline is December 1st.

Standard Reference Grading

Standards Referenced Grading (SRG) is the grading system being used at SEP High School. All courses have identified priority standards within the Infinite Campus gradebook. Teachers will collect artifacts for each standard to determine each students’ level of proficiency. Learn more about the SRG grading system. 


High School Fees

Friendly Reminder: Please ensure your student’s fees are paid for the 2025–2026 school year. These may include textbook rentals, parking permits, activity passes, lunch accounts, and activity registrations. Seniors must have all fees paid in order to participate in graduation.
