Updated CIML COVID-19 Guidelines for Winter Sports

On Thursday, Jan. 7, Governor Kim Reynolds released a new proclamation that lifted fan restrictions at high school sporting events. Essentially, the proclamation gives school districts in Iowa the option to no longer limit spectator attendance that began on Friday, Jan. 8.

Although the governor’s proclamation did lift some restrictions to attend high school sporting events, the CIML will continue to follow social distancing guidelines and mandatory mask requirements.

Our CIML activity departments have agreed to continue to abide by social distancing guidelines established by the Governor, Polk County Health Department, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, Iowa High School Athletic Association & CDC.

As a result, Southeast Polk will follow these guidelines for CIML events to keep our student-athletes and fans safe.
