High School Announcements – May 11th, 2026

Graduates – Be sure to visit our Graduation Information web page so you don’t miss anything. It’s an exciting and busy time as we head into the final stretch of the school year. We’ve included important details about Graduate Decision Day, Senior Honors, Graduation Rehearsal, and other key deadlines and preparations.

May 14: Chromebooks – As the end of the school year approaches, please note that the deadline for submitting student Chromebooks for repair is May 14, 2026. Please encourage students with devices needing repair to stop by the Media Center (Library) for assistance before that date.

May 22: Library Book Return – All library books are due by Friday, May 22. Any books not returned by the last day of school will be assessed replacement fees. Please also note that the library will be closed for inventory beginning Monday, May 18. During this time, Study Hall passes will not be accepted.

Student Fees: Please ensure your student’s fees are paid for the 2025–2026 school year. These may include textbook rentals, parking permits, activity passes, lunch accounts, and activity registrations. Seniors must have all fees paid in order to participate in graduation. High School Activities & Events 

May 13: Academic Assembly @ 8:00 AM  for 10th and 11th Grade Students. (Livestream available)

May 13: Senior Honors Assembly @ 1:50 in the High School Auditorium. (livestream available)

May 13 : Dollars for Scholars @ 7:00 PM in the High School Gymnasium (Invite only, livestreamed available).

May 17: Yearbook Deadline — This is the final day to order this year’s yearbook. Delivery is expected around October 2026, and seniors will need to make arrangements to pick up their copies from the High School. For orders or questions about picture packages, please contact Jostens directly at 1-877-515-1447.

May 20: Boys Golf – Attention all boys interested in playing golf this fall: there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 20 at 8:45 AM in the multipurpose room. Please see Coach Bell or contact Coach Powell if you have any questions.

June 1-3: Youth Show Choir Camp from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the High School Choir Room (S124). Register by May 14th.

Jun 21-26: American Legion of Iowa Boys State @ Camp Dodge in Johnston, For more information: https://iowaboysstate.org.

⇒ Counseling Office

May 4–14: AP Testing – Students, please review the information sent on April 2 regarding AP Testing. Be sure you know your test dates and confirm that you can log in to the Bluebook program on your Chromebook.

May 12 & 14: Senior Reassessment Days – Graduates must turn in their checkout sheet after they have completed reassessments and be in good academic standing to participate in graduation.

May 27-28: 2nd Semester Reassessments for 10th & 11th grade students

June 7: Business Horizons Registration Deadline.

July 13-16: DMACC Summer Camp: The DMACC Ankeny campus is sponsoring a free Crime, Code, & Clues: A CSI and AI summer camp opportunity for incoming 9th through 12th grade students. The free 4-day CSI + AI camp will be held at the DMACC Ankeny campus July 13-16 from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Lunch and snacks are provided. Students can also earn 1 DMACC credit. Questions? ⇒ Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus Parent Portal is the platform used to stay up to date with your student’s school activity, and we highly recommend using this tool. Through Infinite Campus, you can request absences for your student (the preferred method), view schedules, grades, attendance, reports, missing assignments, and more. We’ve included a helpful video to assist you in using this powerful tool.

Absent Request –  If you are requesting an absence for your student, we ask you to use the Absent Request tool found in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal, whenever possible. Standard Reference Grading

Standards Referenced Grading (SRG) is the grading system being used at SEP High School. All courses have identified priority standards within the Infinite Campus gradebook. Teachers will collect artifacts for each standard to determine each students’ level of proficiency. Learn more about the SRG grading system.
