2026-27 High School Orientation and more!

⇒ High School Orientation

  • Tuesday, August 4th from 9:00 – 3:00 PM
  • Wednesday, August 5th from 9:00 – 3:00 PM

Please plan on coming to at least one of the orientation days to complete the following.  

    • Get your school picture taken – pictures used for ID and yearbook
    • Parking tag pick-up – This needs to done on orientation day, not the first day of school. Instructions are below
    • Tour the school and classrooms
    • Add money to your student’s lunch account
    • Assistance with getting access to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal – Student’s schedule, attendance, grades, pay fees, submit absent requests, and more.

Click here for instructions on how to pay for your student’s fees before the 2026-2027 school year begins. Fees include Text Book Fees, Parking Tags, Activity Passes, Lunch accounts, and Activity Registration.  NOTE: Graduates must have ALL fees paid as part of the senior graduation check-out process.

Monday, August 24th, 2026 is the first day of the 2026-27 school year

⇒ High School Regular Hours

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7:30 – 2:45 PM. Doors lock at 8:10 AM
  • Wednesdays: 9:30 – 2:45 PM. Doors lock at 9:35 AM. 

All students arriving at school after the scheduled start times must enter the building through either the east or west commons entrance and scan in using their school ID upon arrival. 

We have a closed campus policy. This means students may not leave the building during the school day without prior approval.

⇒ Student Parking Information

All students who drive to school MUST register their vehicles EVERY school year and display their tag in their vehicle’s rear view mirror.

    • Step 1: Fill out the Student Parking Tag Electronic Form
    • Step 2: Log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal to pay the $5 parking tag fee. Navigate to Fees > Optional Fees > Add to Cart. 
    • Step 3: Pick-up during orientation, not the first day of school. Students must show their valid driver’s license or driving permit to receive a parking tag.

⇒ Building Entry Reminders

Students: Students will need their student IDs (Campus mobile app or ID card) to enter the High School after the doors lock at 8:10 AM. Students must enter the building through the east or west commons doors during regular school hours. If you are late or coming back from an appointment, use the scanner to check in so your attendance is accurately recorded.

Visitors: When visiting the High School during school hours, park on the east side of the building in the designated visitor parking spots. Enter the building through the main entry at the east commons doors to get your visitor’s badge. Note: For security purposes, you will need your driver’s license to get a visitor’s badge.

⇒ Infinite Campus

 We ask Parents or guardians to use their Infinite Campus Parent Portal to stay up to date with all their students’ school activities. This platform used to access your student’s schedule, grades, attendance, and more! If you are having trouble logging in, please contact us at 515-967-6631, and we will assist you. ⇒ Attendance Reminders

If your student is going to be absent from school, the attendance office must be notified by using the Absent Request Portal located in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The Infinite Campus portal is accessible from a computer or through the mobile app. Instructions for the Absent Request Portal.

⇒ Guidance Office Updates

  • Your One-Stop-Shop for Guidance Office Forms can be found by clicking the High School Counseling website. 
  • Need to make an appointment with your counselor? Click here! 
  • Physical Education Opt-Out: Parents or guardians may complete the Physical Education Opt-Out Form to request their student be excused from P.E. class. This form must be completed each semester and is listed as excused on the report card and transcript.

⇒ Picture Dates

Jostens will be at the High School on the following dates to take pictures. Student photos are required for student IDs and for yearbook pictures. You will receive information directly from Jostens for purchase of student pictures. All orders and inquiries regarding picture orders should be directed to Josten’s at 1-877-515-1447. Josten’s Picture Form, Event Code Coming Soon.

⇒ Student Activity Passes

Passes for the 2026-2027 school year for grades K-12 will be available for purchase after July 1. Passes for grades 9-12 are good for all home and CIML-hosted away athletic contests, excluding state events and tournaments. Passes for grades K-8 are accepted only at home athletic events.

Use this link to Bound for purchase student activity passes or tickets for individual athletic events. For faster entry to the game we encourage you to purchase tickets online before arrival. You may also purchase tickets at the gate. If you have questions, please call the high school activities office at 515-967-2944.

  • Fall Conferences 
    • Monday, October 12th, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 PM
    • Wednesday, October 14th, 2025 from 12:30-7:30 PM (Note: No Late Start, 1st period starts at 7:35 AM. Students will be dismissed at 11:10 AM. 
  • Spring Conferences
    • Monday, March 8th, 2026 from 4:00-8:00 PM
    • Wednesday, March 10th, 2026 from 12:30-7:30 pm (Note: No Late Start, 1st period starts at 7:30 AM). Students will be dismissed at 11:10 AM.

Graduation will be held at The Drake University Knapp Center on May 16th, 2027.
